On 2-3 July 2015, we were at Ranau to set up 4 PAN Centres i.e. PAN Paginatan, PAN Karanaan, PAN Melinsou and PAN Kundasang. Ranau is a landlocked district situated in the West Coast Division of Sabah. As Ranau covers a very large area, we see the need to have 4 centres for better outreach of our people in every corners of the District.
The 2010 Census recorded the population of the District at 94,092, an almost entirely Dusun ethnic community. Ranau is noted for its hilly geographical structure and is the largest producer of highland vegetables in Sabah. Tourism and highland agriculture are the major industries, as the district is at 1,176 m above sea level. Mount Kinabalu is located in the Sub-district of Kundasang.
