On 8-9 June 2015, we were at Tenom to install its PAN Committee. Tenom is located in the Interior Division of Sabah. Its area is approximately 2,238 km or 930 square miles and includes the Sub-district of Kemabong.
In the early days of British colonial rule in Malaysia, the town was called Fort Birch. The fertile land in Tenom and the surrounding area has made it primarily an agricultural area. Tenom is considered the unofficial capital of the Murut community. On the map this is where it is:
